Sara's Company had a sand safari last night for employees and families. It was a great time. We had over 16 Land Cruisers show up and wisk us away to the desert about 45 minutes outside the city. Once at the desert, the driver's deflated the tires for the sand driving. Sara was squealing...for a portion of the time.
We rode camels and came upon some 4 wheelers racing across the desert (the picture of Sara on the camel is with our friend Marie). Before bringing us back to the city, we had a shawarma appetizer, dancing, shisha (a.k.a. hooka pipe), full meal, and a belly dancer. It never fails, I ALWAYS get chosen to have to dance with the belly dancer. I even discretely moved to the back so I wouldn't get chosen! Out of 100 people, I had to get on stage and mimic the moves the belly dancer was doing. Yes, I looked the the white boy that couldn't dance.
Charlie made it over the water just fine. He's adapting very well. We'll post pictures of our place and around town later.
